Gunnersbury Saturday My dear Mrs Disraeli We heard quite by chance but with deep regret that you were detained in London by your amiable sister-in- law's indisposition, and not venturing to trouble that kind lady while she is out of health and requires complete repose I rely as usual upon your unvarying indulgence to convey
|
my best wishes for Miss Disraeli's speedy recovery to her bedside and also to send me some account of her progress to convelesence. I am more sincerely happy than I can possibly say that Mr Fitzroy is now really improving.--- During ten days the poor sufferer much exhausted by several months of constant fever was in immanent peril, and the thoughts of agony of alarm and despair haunted me |
day and night -- doubly so, as she would see no one but the gentlemen of her family and I could not even have the satisfaction of comforting and cheering the poor woman I ardently hope & trust that the fine weather which we are now enjoying may bring restorated health & strength to all invalids, and with a thousand good wishes for Miss Disraeli, as well as my sincere regards to her, I remain Always most aff[ectionate]ly yours |
