Dearest Cousin

I am quite unhap-

py about you altogether

& was at least in hopes

that you were ^ more free

from pain ------ I con-

dole with you sin-

cerely upon the sad loss

you have met with,

not easily replaced alas,

& so unexpected & sudden

makes it more grie-

vous still - I do hope

the change of weather

will drive neuralgia

away, I shall be so very

happy to hear it has

left you entirely!

It is no use to send con-

ventional words of

sympathy, however sincere,

to such a person as

MrDisraeli, so I refrain

from Doing so --------

Yrs my dear most af-

fectionately,

Harriet Semper
